Removing users from your organisation

When someone leaves your organisation, it is important that you remove them from your system to maintain the accuracy of your organisation register and ensure they cannot still supervise others within your organisation.

Removing someone from your organisation does not delete their competencies, they will remain in the profile in their own Competency Passport and can be continued in a new organisation or if they return to your organisation.

There are two parts to removing someone from your organisation:

  1. Archiving all active Job Descriptions for that person - see Archiving Job Descriptions
  2. Remove the person from your organisation

Removing the person from your organisation

Once you have archived all Job Descriptions, you should now see a button at the bottom of the person’s profile page that says

Remove User from Organisation

Tap this button and the confirmation message:

and you will see confirmation that this person has been removed from your organisation.

They will no longer be able to access your organisation and they will no longer appear in your or anyone else’s list of Supervisees or in your organisational dashboard.

Reminder: You will only see this option if there are no active Job Descriptions for this person, you must archive all active Job Descriptions before you can remove someone from the organisation.

Blocking a user

If you don’t want to permanently remove a user, you can contact support and ask for a temporary block to be placed on the user.

This will leave their records untouched, but they will be unable to work in your organisation in the Compassly app.
